Going through old Facebook posts tonight, and ran across this awesomeness. Made me smile so big, so I thought I’d take a moment and share. Enjoy!
So far, the Spring of 2015 is looking like it might just be one of the best Springs we’ve ever had. While the weather may not have been all that great coming into it, it’s started to warm up and we’ve had quite a few eventful days.
My sister and her family came and visited. It’s been about two years since they were last here, so everyone was beyond excited. Surprisingly, did not get a single picture of my sister the entire time she was here… but here are some of my favorite shots from the visit.

Then, Kaeidyn had been begging for an entire year for us to go to the Spring Fling at her school. She even saved up money for it for months to make sure that that wasn’t a barrier to going. And when a boy at school asked her to go because he wanted to ask her something at the dance, she was even more adamant that we must absolutely go.
The room was very dark, so for the most part, a lot of the pictures and videos she took ended up not being worth anything. I’ve also got to get on watching through all the videos, because there are a couple that desperately need to be added. But for now, here’s some of my favorite pictures from that night.

So now, which one out of all of these pictures were your favorite? Any in the albums that should’ve been on here? And stay tuned for those videos I mentioned earlier…
We’ve had a lot of really cold weather here lately. This has made me an incredibly grumpy person. However, I have managed to take a few pictures over the last little while, although not nearly as many as I could have.
My favorite thing from this week was actually taken by The Boyfriend. He had to walk Carter to school one day and when he left the house, it was a clear sunny day. By the time he got to school, this is what he was dealing with:
Then, I’ve been working on getting things off My Bucket List, so this week, I picked up some yarn and knitting needles and officially have begun a project.
They had the big balls of yarn on sale, I couldn't resist the urge to grab one… Okay, two. But you don't get to see the other color until I start using it. This ball is a nice pink color. They didn't have a super wide selection as the sale had been mostly wiped out, but I picked two colors that I think will compliment each other. I have no idea what to make or even what exactly I've already started to make. I figure I'm going to keep going until I have one big long semi-thin strip and then I'm hoping that will inspire me to make more strips which will then become a nice blanket for my couch. Hopefully, I'll have a better couch by the time I'm done. Great!! 1 project turns into 2…
Finally, it was The Boyfriend’s birthday yesterday (although we haven’t slept yet, so it’s still going on for us) and he decided to get our traditional celebratory shots… In a pack:
We almost never drink, but every birthdat since The Boyfriend and I have been together, we get a couple of these shots and that's our birthday party. This year, they had these packs on and The Boyfriend couldn't resist. We did our traditional one shot – he chose the Polar Bear (white chocolate and peppermint) and I chose the Blazin Apple (apple and cinnamon). Happy birthday Boyfriend. I f**king love you!!
It’s been a warm week weather-wise, even though it’s still all gross and snowy… It’s meant a lot of outside time, especially being that there’s been a lot of time off school. I haven’t gotten nearly as many pictures as I maybe could’ve, but I wanted to share some of my favorites from this past week.
We had a couple really nice days for walks home from school. The only part that sucked at all about this week was that it kept looking like it was a hot sunny day outside and the birds were chirping like spring was just around the corner, and then you’d step outside and it would be this skin tightening bracing cold. The worst day for it was the day that the kids decided they wanted to go down to Grandma’s…
Carter made it about halfway before beginning to complain about the cold. Kenzie couldn’t care less though. He was running and skipping basically all the way to Grandma’s house and once we got there, stayed outside long enough to build a snowman. Keirnan only cared about a bath because for some reason, he really likes taking baths at Grandma’s and Carter is all about the lego.
Today, The Boyfriend and Carter were sitting on the couch and Carter began to pet The Boyfriend. Carter is often very affectionate and cuddly towards his Daddy and oftentimes wants kisses and cuddles from Daddy more than Mommy. The Boyfriend decided to snap a few shots and this is what happened…
Plus, we can’t forget the awesome sauce that I’m posting over on Instagram, like this sexy selfie:
Or this one of my beautiful baby boys, who keep getting more and more handsome with each passing day:
And finally, it’s all about Pokemon in our house right now…
I’ve been saying forever now that I need to remember to start taking pictures on things like walks to school and whenever the kids and I are out and about. Finally remembered that I can take pictures with my cellphone, even when we aren’t at home. So, went for a spontaneous walk today and remembered on the way home, so decided to get a few pictures in.
It was an absolutely beautiful day. Just barely needed a jacket. And the kids had so much fun. We ended up going over to a friends house and as we were leaving she gave me a beautiful flower for Valentine’s Day. It took no time at all before…
When we got home, I opened up some of the petals of the flower and then got this awesome snapshot:
We even ended up running into The Boyfriend on the way home, as he was coming home from work. It was a pleasant surprise 😉
So now, enjoy some of the other awesome and adorable pictures we got today.
So YAY! I finally remembered my camera. Aren’t you so proud of me?!?
For Christmas this year, The Boyfriend got me a smartphone. We mainly got it because our home phone stopped working for some reason and I’ve been whining that I needed something more portable for picture taking and such. So now, I finally have something that actually works to take pictures with, which I’m super happy about.
I haven’t taken too many pictures with it yet, mainly because I’m not really using it that much. I promised myself that I wouldn’t and that it would mostly be for necessity at this point. I have a lot of work to get done on the computer that can’t be done on the cellphone (and even if it can, I don’t want to) and so I need to keep my distractions very minimal.
However, since the older kids have been gone, it’s just been The Boyfriend, Carter and I. So, I quickly snapped these the other day and thought I would share 😉
If you’d like to refer back to some of the Photos from the Past I’ve already done, here’s one for Kaeidyn and another one for Kenzie and of course, The Boyfriend and I. And check back in a few days for a blast from the past of Carter!
Almost forgot all about this video (and this song…). Back when “Gangnam Style” by Psy was still super cool and everyone was listening to it – well, so were my kids and Kenzie and Carter loved doing this video… Enjoy!
Awhile back on The Rantings, I introduced you to my 8-year-old son Kenzie and today I’d like to do another series of Photos from the Past. Here he is in, in all his glory 😉
I invite you now, to go check out the introductory post to my third oldest, Keirnan and check back in a few days for another Photos from the Past starring him.
A few days ago on The Rantings, I introduced you to my oldest daughter, 9-year-old Kaeidyn. Today, I’d like to do another blast from the past with some of my favorite older pictures of Kaeidyn. Isn’t she adorable?
