Awhile back, I took the plunge and got myself some Japanese Silk Rope, which has been on my to-do list for a long long time. Finally getting it means that I can begin completing other rope-related goals. And I have been in rope heaven!
The Boyfriend enthusiastically agreed to be my guinea pig and after days and days of reading and tons of re-researching and a whole heck of a lot of caution and awkwardness, I officially got to tie some ties.
I decided I really liked a cuff that I found on ropefashions.com and as The Boyfriend laid back and watched Volume II of Nymphomaniac (even better the second time around!), I gave my first ever ropework an attempt.
I intentionally did it pretty loose, mainly because I wasn’t 100% sure how it would feel for him. I knew the texture of the rope would probably irritate him if it were too tight because he has super sensitive skin. I tried it out on his leg, mainly because it was easiest in his movie-watching position. He was pretty awesome for it and liked it enough to let me do more the next night.
As he sat in bed, playing Grand Theft Auto, I did a very lazy wrap around his chest. I mainly just wanted to play around with the rope and not specifically do anything in particular. It ended up being a pretty spectacular experience.
The Boyfriend’s Chest Wrap
I did it a little tighter than the leg cuff and left it on for longer. I thought at some point that he would complain about something – the way the rope felt around his nipple or the tightness as he began to half slouch, something – but he seemed to be enjoying it. We both delighted in the fact that he was left with his very first rope marks.
The Boyfriend’s Rope Marks
I’m hoping eventually he’ll decide that he wants to try it out on me. There’s only so much that you can do to yourself. However, I’m more than happy to just keep practicing on him!
Two days ago on Instagram, I posted this picture:
Today, we took this picture and drove away in our brand new-to-us (and my absolute dream car), a Grand Caravan.
Couldn’t be happier!!
So far, the Spring of 2015 is looking like it might just be one of the best Springs we’ve ever had. While the weather may not have been all that great coming into it, it’s started to warm up and we’ve had quite a few eventful days.
My sister and her family came and visited. It’s been about two years since they were last here, so everyone was beyond excited. Surprisingly, did not get a single picture of my sister the entire time she was here… but here are some of my favorite shots from the visit.
Then, Kaeidyn had been begging for an entire year for us to go to the Spring Fling at her school. She even saved up money for it for months to make sure that that wasn’t a barrier to going. And when a boy at school asked her to go because he wanted to ask her something at the dance, she was even more adamant that we must absolutely go.
The room was very dark, so for the most part, a lot of the pictures and videos she took ended up not being worth anything. I’ve also got to get on watching through all the videos, because there are a couple that desperately need to be added. But for now, here’s some of my favorite pictures from that night.
So now, which one out of all of these pictures were your favorite? Any in the albums that should’ve been on here? And stay tuned for those videos I mentioned earlier…
It took me awhile to gear up to play more of The Sims 4, as I was impatiently awaiting the release of the Get to Work expansion pack (read more about that here…). The Boyfriend finally convinced me to play #TheRayneLegacy again and I spent probably two or three days playing for large portions of the day.
Felicity and Geisha had a birthday and became teenagers.
Happy Birthday Felicity!
Happy Birthday Geisha!
They both worked diligently on honing their skills and each of them got a job; Felicity as a landscaper and Geisha as a babysitter. There has been a lot of playing instruments, going to work, going to school, gardening and cooking in their lives of late.

All three girls went on another family camping trip, and aside from the fact that Geisha gets a negative moodlet every time she interacts with her friend, the bear, it was a pretty great experience.

They returned home just in time for Evyn’s birthday. I have yet to be able to get over a bronze medal for a birthday party with #TheRayneLegacy…
Happy Birthday Evyn!
Now, we are definitely getting close to the end of an era – a.k.a the end of the first generation of my legacy-esque challenge. I suspect that the next time I get on here, Evyn will die as she has been perpetually tense or uncomfortable and that Felicity and Geisha will age up to Young Adults.
As you’ll probably remember, I’ve chosen to stick with a first-born matriarchy, so Felicity will become the heir to the 2nd generation of #TheRayneLegacy.
The 2nd Generation
As I said, big changes are coming! And I couldn’t be more excited!!!
We’ve had a lot of really cold weather here lately. This has made me an incredibly grumpy person. However, I have managed to take a few pictures over the last little while, although not nearly as many as I could have.
My favorite thing from this week was actually taken by The Boyfriend. He had to walk Carter to school one day and when he left the house, it was a clear sunny day. By the time he got to school, this is what he was dealing with:
Then, I’ve been working on getting things off My Bucket List, so this week, I picked up some yarn and knitting needles and officially have begun a project.
Finally, it was The Boyfriend’s birthday yesterday (although we haven’t slept yet, so it’s still going on for us) and he decided to get our traditional celebratory shots… In a pack:
It’s been a warm week weather-wise, even though it’s still all gross and snowy… It’s meant a lot of outside time, especially being that there’s been a lot of time off school. I haven’t gotten nearly as many pictures as I maybe could’ve, but I wanted to share some of my favorites from this past week.
Kenzie After School
Kaeidyn After School
Keirnan After School
We had a couple really nice days for walks home from school. The only part that sucked at all about this week was that it kept looking like it was a hot sunny day outside and the birds were chirping like spring was just around the corner, and then you’d step outside and it would be this skin tightening bracing cold. The worst day for it was the day that the kids decided they wanted to go down to Grandma’s…

Kenzie Built a Snowman
And this puzzle, about 10 times…
Carter made it about halfway before beginning to complain about the cold. Kenzie couldn’t care less though. He was running and skipping basically all the way to Grandma’s house and once we got there, stayed outside long enough to build a snowman. Keirnan only cared about a bath because for some reason, he really likes taking baths at Grandma’s and Carter is all about the lego.
Today, The Boyfriend and Carter were sitting on the couch and Carter began to pet The Boyfriend. Carter is often very affectionate and cuddly towards his Daddy and oftentimes wants kisses and cuddles from Daddy more than Mommy. The Boyfriend decided to snap a few shots and this is what happened…
Plus, we can’t forget the awesome sauce that I’m posting over on Instagram, like this sexy selfie:
Or this one of my beautiful baby boys, who keep getting more and more handsome with each passing day:
And finally, it’s all about Pokemon in our house right now…
After having an incredibly productive day yesterday, I decided it was time to play The Sims 4. The game notified me about their WooHoo Weekend. So because my file with The Boyfriend & I already had a couple who were ready to WooHoo, I played that last night. Today, I decided to check in on Evyn and The Rayne Legacy.
Recently, Evyn had met Elijah McWilliams on a camping trip. She decided to call him up and invite him over and over the course of the next two days, they went from hardly knowing each other to steamy exchanges.

Then, Evyn prepared a delicious chilli dinner and sat down with her two favorite girls in the whole world for a nice Valentine’s Day meal.

Felicity and Geisha went outside to play and Evyn made some pretty bold moves with Elijah. First kiss, first time WooHoo-ing and a new boy toy – best Valentine’s Day ever!

In total over the past two days, I’ve contributed approximately 7 WooHoo’s to the 4-5 million the game is looking for. I really hope to get the gnome, because it is by far the cutest one yet. And while Evyn’s hair is all set (at least until she has her next birthday), it would be really great to get new hairstyles for the girls when they age up next – which isn’t that long away!
I’ve been saying forever now that I need to remember to start taking pictures on things like walks to school and whenever the kids and I are out and about. Finally remembered that I can take pictures with my cellphone, even when we aren’t at home. So, went for a spontaneous walk today and remembered on the way home, so decided to get a few pictures in.
It was an absolutely beautiful day. Just barely needed a jacket. And the kids had so much fun. We ended up going over to a friends house and as we were leaving she gave me a beautiful flower for Valentine’s Day. It took no time at all before…
When we got home, I opened up some of the petals of the flower and then got this awesome snapshot:
We even ended up running into The Boyfriend on the way home, as he was coming home from work. It was a pleasant surprise 😉
So now, enjoy some of the other awesome and adorable pictures we got today.

So YAY! I finally remembered my camera. Aren’t you so proud of me?!?
I first joined Instagram back in 2013, right after The Boyfriend had gotten me a tablet. I never really knew what to take pictures of and only posted a few selfies over that first little bit. Then, my tablet completely crapped out and I didn’t use Instagram for quite a long time.
Recently, I’ve started spending more and more time with a friend who swears by Instagram. So, I decided that since The Boyfriend got me a smartphone for Christmas and since I really want to start taking more pictures of my family and my life, that I would re-visit Instagram.
It’s a slow process. When you’re not used to taking pictures every single day, you don’t realize how many opportunities there are for pictures. And your first thought isn’t, “Hold on, let me grab my cellphone for a picture” – it always occurs to you after that moment has expired. So, it’s a bit of an adjustment and I’m definitely not making the progress I want – especially being that I’m so critical of every picture I take…
But, I’m determined to start using Instagram more, so I thought I’d let you know about it and share some of my favorite pictures that I’ve posted so far there. I’d love for you to follow me!
It’s been quite awhile since I last played The Rayne Legacy. I’ve started so many other families experimenting with various things that I haven’t even paid any attention to Evyn, Felicity and Geisha. Today, I decided to change that.
Evyn’s been pretty unhappy as she works towards her next promotion. She just does not like filling out reports on her computer, no matter how friendly I try to make the area for her.

The girls have been working towards completing their various milestones, because I’m desperate to age them up, but don’t want to do it until they’ve completed their childish aspirations. Geisha took forever because Evyn wouldn’t read to her, but finally, we got over that. Felicity has been busy creating some pretty interesting pieces of art, which I plan to display eventually.

Finally, the girls took a camping trip. After saving up for days they were finally ready to go and spent three days out in the wilderness. Evyn collected a bunch of new plants, frogs and even some insects. Geisha decided to go fishing and generally spent the entire vacation in a fowl mood. Felicity spent most of her time socializing with the other campers and sitting around the campfires. They even had an awesome game of horseshoes!

Next time I play, I plan on aging up the twins, Felicity and Geisha. I’m excited to see what they’ll look like as teenagers. I’m considering trying to get Evyn to fall in love with someone and have another baby before she’s officially too old, but we’ll see how the next session goes.
Until the next time 😉
